After gaining a PhD in Electronics & Electrical Engineering from the University of Glasgow, Andy spent several years in industry leading optoelectronic and microwave product development programmes for telecoms and defence customers. He graduated with an MBA from the University of Strathclyde in 2008 with Distinction after writing a dissertation on collaborative advantage. Andy has been with Scottish Enterprise for over 15 years leading economic development projects across a range of sectors including digital media, energy, life sciences and manufacturing. Since March 2020, Andy has been the programme lead for Health Supply Chain Development working closely with Scottish Government and the NHS.
