Damien Smith is founding partner of award-winning Scottish digital media and software studio ISO, leading a multidisciplinary team that designs and builds permanent large-scale location-based experiences for museums, visitor attractions and brand experience centres.
ISO specialises in narrative-led immersive media and interactive projects and has been working with some of the world’s leading cultural and commercial companies including Tate, BBC, Science Museum, Imperial War Museum, Innovate UK, Channel 4, Mercedes Benz, IKEA, Ballantines, Titanic Experience Belfast and Dubai Expo.
Damien trained as a product designer before completing the MA Design course at Glasgow School of Art where he specialised in film and installation. He is a regular speaker and lecturer on immersive and interactive media, mentor to emergent creative businesses at the Cultural Enterprise Office, and sits on the boards of arts charities SWG3 and NVA / St Peter Kilmahew.
