Glasgow City Council’s Economic Development section includes the Business Glasgow team – experienced and dedicated business experts who offer a range of support to new and growing businesses in Glasgow.
The team offer start-ups support ranging from writing a business plan, understanding and accessing finance to establishing how to market products or services. The team can also help existing businesses to grow by offering support to identify the right premises, penetrate new markets and recruit staff.
The Glasgow Business Growth Programme offers expert consultancy support across a range of specialist areas. Other support includes the Green Business Support programme which helps SMEs transition to net zero and reduce energy costs. They also offer a range of funding to the Tech sector, including the Tech Smart Rent Subsidy, the Tech Smart Meetup Subsidy and the Tech Ecosystem Event Subsidy.
