Edafe Onerhime is a Data Architecture Governance Lead and a Principal Data Architect at a global financial services organisation. A data specialist, speaker, and writer with twenty-five years’ experience, her focus is making impact with data. Alongside her subject matter expertise, she sits on the firmwide Responsible AI Council, is the champion for BOLD Scotland and a DEI representative for Infrastructure Platforms Architecture.
She is a leading voice on diversity, decolonization and making data useful, usable, and put into use. Her unique guidebook, developed for the Open Data Institute, supports people and organizations adopting or developing Open Standards for Data. As a public speaker, she shares how to manage the human element of data for impact: from data literacy to protected characteristics in practice, from data leadership to strategy to implementation.
